Job Opportunity: Endoscopy Nurse
We are seeking dynamic, forward-thinking individuals to join our endoscopy team at the state-of-the-art Endoscopy Unit in Leicester General Hospital, located in the East Midlands. This purpose-built facility features 6 procedure rooms, 20 patient pods, and comprehensive training facilities.
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of endoscopy within University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL). You will explore innovative working methods, contribute to establishing a centre of excellence for endoscopy and training, and work towards JAG accreditation. Networking opportunities include participation in the East Midlands Endoscopy Group, along with involvement in research and development.
Staff wellbeing is a priority, and you will receive support from senior management and clinical educators. We provide opportunities for career progression into senior roles, specialist nursing positions, and nurse endoscopist roles. Rotational posts are available between East Midlands Endoscopy and Leicester Royal Infirmary, with options to spend time in community units and gastro wards.
This is a 7-day service operating from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm, with staff rota provisions for late stays and an on-call night service covering all three UHL units.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the Endoscopy Ward Leader and Matron to maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment aligned with patient and public expectations.
2. Ensure patient care standards meet Trust and JAG accreditation requirements, and monitor feedback from patients and service users.
3. Contribute to setting, maintaining, and monitoring care standards through benchmarking, audits, research, and compliance with BSG and JAG standards.
4. Provide a personalized service to patients, adhering to Trust values and standards to promote quality, diversity, and patient rights.
