The Role
We are looking to recruit a Charge Midwife / Community Team Leader to join the Maternity & Neonates Team at University Hospital Wishaw!
The successful candidate will assist the Senior Charge Midwife in delivering high-quality, evidence-based, woman- and baby-centered care.
The post holder will be involved in providing both individualised patient care and in planning. They will implement and evaluate clinical care within all areas of the maternity service, ensuring compliance with NHS Lanarkshire's policies and procedures, and maintaining statutory requirements in accordance with the NMC.
The Charge Midwife / Community Team Leader will provide safe, effective, person-centered care.

What you'll need
* Registered Midwife with valid NMC registration
* Degree-level education or equivalent
* Postgraduate expertise demonstrating leadership within your speciality
* Knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards
* Specialist knowledge of relevant conditions, policies, and procedures
* Management qualification or equivalent experience
* Continuous professional development in your area of practice
* Excellent team-working, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Effective time management skills
* Basic IT skills
Preferred
* Current midwifery/nursing experience
* Presentation, training, and facilitation skills
* Strategic working ability
* Full UK/EU/EEA driver’s license
