Job Summary
The Sales Manager will be responsible for maximizing hotel revenue and market share through a structured, proactive sales approach. This role will focus on identifying and securing new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, and promoting the hotel’s products and services across key market segments, including corporate, group, leisure, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions).
The role holder will develop and implement effective sales strategies, conduct regular client visits and presentations, and confidently engage in B2B selling at all levels. He / She will coordinate closely with operations and revenue teams to ensure seamless service delivery, while consistently achieving or exceeding room night and revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities
* Identify, qualify, and solicit new business opportunities across assigned market segments (corporate, groups, leisure, MICE) to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
* Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive account management, regular site inspections, client entertainment, and networking activities.
* Conduct sales calls, meetings, and presentations, and represent the hotel at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to increase market visibility and share.
* Prepare and present persuasive proposals, contracts, and rate negotiations in line with the hotel’s pricing strategy, ensuring profitability while maintaining client satisfaction.
* Manage a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring retention, repeat business, and growth through consistent communication and service excellence.
* Maximize revenue by cross‑selling and upselling hotel facilities such as F&B outlets, banqueting, spa, and leisure services.
* Liaise closely with Revenue Management to align on pricing strategies, demand generation, and market positioning.
* Collaborate with Catering & Events, Banquets, Reservations, and Front Office teams to ensure seamless handover and execution of confirmed business.
* Conduct regular market research and competitive analysis to identify new trends, opportunities, and threats, providing feedback and recommendations to management.
* Maintain complete and accurate records of all sales activities, client communications, bookings, and account history in the hotel’s CRM system (e.g. Sales Cloud).
* Achieve assigned sales targets for revenue, room nights, and market share through strategic planning and consistent follow‑up.
* Prepare accurate sales forecasts, weekly/monthly activity reports, and pipeline updates for the GM.
* Participate in the preparation and execution of the annual Sales & Marketing plan and support the implementation of new initiatives.
* Ensure all contracts, agreements, and proposals are properly documented, distributed, and compliant with hotel standards.
* Stay updated on hotel facilities, services, and competitor offerings to effectively position the property in the marketplace.

Experience, Certification & Education
* Experience 3 to 4 years working in a 4/5 star branded hotel in a similar role
* BS/BA degree is preferable
* English (Fluent)
* Strong sales experience in the hospitality industry
* Knowledge of the UK market
