A leading construction contractor is seeking a Tender Planner to join their pre-construction team based in Cardiff. This hybrid working opportunity is ideal for an experienced planning professional looking to contribute to high-profile bids across the UK. The company has a strong pipeline of work and is recognised for excellence in delivering complex infrastructure and building projects.
The Role
As a Tender Planner, you will be responsible for developing robust tender programmes, supporting bid submissions, and working closely with estimators, bid managers, and design teams. You’ll analyse project information to create detailed schedules that demonstrate methodology, sequencing, and resource requirements. You’ll also play a key role in identifying and mitigating programme risks during the bid stage, helping to secure strategically important projects.
The Person
To succeed as a Tender Planner, you’ll have experience in a similar pre-construction or bid planning role within the construction sector. Proficiency in Asta Powerproject is essential, along with a solid understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are crucial, as is the ability to work under pressure and to tight tender deadlines.
