What you will do
Receive and screen safeguarding referrals from professionals and the public.
Undertake initial risk assessments and make vital decision-making in line with established thresholds.
Gather and analyse pertinent information from partner agencies within the MASH.
Identify safeguarding concerns and determine appropriate next steps for cases.
Progress cases efficiently to relevant teams such as Assessment, Child Protection, or Early Help.
Actively participate in strategy discussions and multi-agency meetings.
Person specification
Qualifications:
Must possess a Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
Registration & Compliance:
Registered with Social Work England.
Enhanced DBS required.
Right to Work in the UK is essential.
Key Skills:
Strong safeguarding and risk assessment skills, with a clear understanding of MASH processes and referral pathways.
Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced front-door environment.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage cases adeptly.
Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multi-agency setting.
Experience:
Post-qualification experience in Children’s Social Care, particularly within MASH or similar Intake, Duty, or Assessment teams.
Experience managing safeguarding referrals and triage processes.
Experience in multi-agency partnership working is preferred.
