Secondary Supply Teaching Assistant (SEN Experience) | April 2026 Start Location: Gloucester Contract: Full-Time Supply (Monday-Friday) Hours: 8:15am - 3:15pm Salary: £105.89 - £133.68 per day (DOE) Are you patient, proactive, and passionate about supporting young people with additional needs? We are recruiting dedicated Secondary Supply Teaching Assistants with SEN experience to work across a range of secondary schools in Gloucester. Whether you have experience in school settings, have worked in care or youth support roles, or are a graduate considering a future in education, we would love to hear from you. Working as a Supply TA provides a rewarding chance to support learners who benefit from extra guidance, while gaining experience across a variety of classroom environments. You'll work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to help students overcome barriers and achieve their potential. Many short‑term placements naturally develop into longer‑term roles, making this an excellent stepping stone into SEND support, pastoral work, or teacher training. As an SEN‑experienced Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key part in helping learners feel supported, confident, and ready to succeed. About the Role As a Secondary Supply Teaching Assistant, you will support KS3 and KS4 students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, and more. You may provide 1:1 support, assist in small groups, or help within the wider classroom. Your role will involve reinforcing routines, promoting independence, and ensuring all students can access the curriculum.
