Outreach Worker – YOU MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE
School based in an attendance team
Prospero are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible Outreach Worker to work in a Special Needs School based in Macclesfield in their Outreach/Attendance Department.
You need to have experience working with KS3 and/or KS4 pupils and their families, as this role will focus on encouraging young people and their families to engage with school, including attendance and issues outside of school.
You will be able to demonstrate skills in relating to young people who have social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
You should be able to communicate effectively with parents and handle pupils in a calm but firm manner, both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis, in school and off-site, ensuring every student makes progress according to their ability.
Ideally, you will have extensive experience working with pupils who display challenging behaviours and possess knowledge of the risks associated with illegal substances.
The suitable candidates must have their own transport, be willing to transport pupils to and from school and other educational establishments, and have business use insurance for their vehicle.
