Overview
We are seeking a talented and creative Baker/Cake Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and an eye for detail, ensuring that each of our bakes and cakes are not only delicious but also visually stunning. This role requires a strong foundation in food production and preparation, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
* Design and decorate our bakes & cakes according to customer specifications and seasonal themes.
* Prepare various types of icing, fillings, and cake batters while adhering to food safety standards.
* Collaborate with team members to create unique cake designs and flavours.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all kitchen equipment is properly sanitised.
* Assist in the baking process, including measuring ingredients and monitoring baking times.
* Stay updated on current trends in cake decorating and culinary techniques.
Requirements
* Proven experience in food production or preparation, particularly within a bakery or restaurant setting.
* Strong culinary skills with a focus on baking and cake decoration.
* Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure high-quality standards are met.
* Previous kitchen experience is essential; experience specifically in cake decorating is highly desirable.
* Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.50-£14.00 per hour
