Please note, this role requires national travel and ideally candidates would be located in/around the following locations: London, Peterborough, Nottingham, Manchester, Leeds.
What will you be doing?
As a Trainee Examining Engineer for Inspire Structures, part of British Engineering Services Group, you will carry out site examinations of civil engineering structures, assessing condition, identifying risks and producing clear, high-quality reports. You will work across a range of infrastructure assets, supporting safe, compliant and efficient asset management.
* Plan and undertake site examinations of civil engineering and structural assets.
* Identify risks and assess structural condition in line with relevant standards.
* Compile, review and submit clear and accurate condition and examination reports.
* Work under mentorship towards relevant STE competencies (STE2 and STE6).
* Champion health, safety, wellbeing, quality and environmental best practice on every project.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to Examiners where required.
Qualifications
* A Degree, HND or HNC in Civil Engineering.
* A STE4 competency.
* PTS (Personal Track Safety).
* Good knowledge of structures, structural theory, and behaviour.
* Willingness to travel nationally.
* To be medically fit for rail work and hold the appropriate railway medical.
* Full UK Driving License.
