Join to apply for the Social Worker - Kinship Team role at Cumberland Council. * Salary: £42,839 - £44,075 per annum
* Hours: 37 per week
* Location: Countywide (work base to be agreed with the team manager)
* Contract: Fixed-term 12 months
Responsibilities
* Assess Kinship Carers under Regulation 24 and complete fostering assessments within required timescales
* Prepare and present reports to Fostering Panel in line with fostering regulations
* Provide supervision and support to approved connected persons carers
* Develop and deliver support groups and training as part of a developing service
* Work effectively as part of a team and, when needed, on own initiative; respond to short-notice requests with strong organisational skills
Qualifications and Skills
* Relevant social work qualification and eligibility for professional registration
* Team player with enthusiasm and initiative
* Ability to produce high-quality assessments to tight deadlines
Requirements and Safeguarding
* DBS checks required (enhanced with Children's and Adults' Barred List checks) and working in regulated activity
* Commitment to safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk
