Summary
Working as part of the visitor experience team, you'll help to build and manage our Summer of Play family offer - two pop-up, festival feel outdoor play spaces that open throughout the summer holidays.
Hours: Seasonal, flexible, weekends. This is a zero-hour contract, meaning we can’t guarantee a set number of hours each week. While we aim to provide a consistent work pattern, flexibility is needed as schedules may change based on business needs. We’ll try to give as much notice as possible. The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays but does not require evening or split shifts.
Salary: £13.25 per hour
Contract/duration: Fixed term until 6 September 2026.
Hours/working pattern: Although not guaranteed, we expect typical shifts are three days per week, including working regular weekends and bank holidays.

What you'll be doing
You'll become our Summer of Play champion - carrying out daily safety checks and keeping the play spaces looking their best, engaging with families and children, working alongside volunteers to deliver simple arts and crafts activities and supporting professional circus performers who'll be delivering drop-in workshops at weekends. The Summer of Play spaces are filled with fun activities for families - from have-a-go archery to scaling the giant straw castle.
You'll spend your time moving between the Summer of Play meadow and the second play-space in our historic Stableyard - it's a fun and energetic role and perfect if you enjoy being active, outdoors and working with children.
