OurPrivate Client Team works with individuals, trustees, partnerships, soletraders and family businesses in managing their tax affairs both on thpliance side and in relation to additional advisory matters. We work closely with colleagues across thefirm to provide a joined-up service to owner managed businesses and familyofficesbining expertise in accounting, audit and all relevant taxes.

Asa Manager within the Private Client Tax team in Lerwick, you will manage anddeliver a thorough and high-quality taxpliance and advisory service to arange of clients. This includes managing and developing more junior members ofthe team whilst reviewing their work. You will work with the partner and othercolleagues on a variety of planning projects and technical assignments and beinvolved in business development opportunities.

Youwill make an impact by:
1. Managing the taxpliance process for a range of varied clients.
2. Leading and delivering specialist technical assignments.
3. Collaborating with partners and directors to help develop new business within the team and build on existing relationships.
4. Playing an active role in developing the junior members of the team.
5. Building relationships with all other departments to ensure all potential client needs are identified and serviced.
6. Briefing junior staff on the client's business and the pre-assignment instructions; supervising and controlling thepletion of work; and undertaking 'on the job' training where necessary.

7. CTA qualified preferable, or experience at Assistant Manager / Manager level.
8. Understanding and practical experience of the tax issues relating to a range of private clients.
9. Experience in client handling and project management.
10. Tax experience in producing high quality work within budget.
11. Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills.
12. Experience managing a portfolio of personal taxpliance and advisory projects whilst being confident at developing and maintaining relationships internally and externally.
13. An interest in mentoring and developing junior members of staff.
