Architectural Technologist
Location: Cheltenham
Salary Expectations: GBP35:42,000 (DOE)
A dynamic and well:established consultancy is seeking an Architectural Technician to join its friendly and collaborative team in Cheltenham. The team specialises in commercial and industrial projects and the successful candidate will gain exposure to all stages of the design and delivery process : from early concept development through to technical detailing and on:site completion. About you:
* Degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent (HND/HNC will be considered)
* Proven UK experience within a relevant role
* Strong technical portfolio, ideally including commercial or industrial projects
* Proficiency in Revit (essential), with AutoCAD experience advantageous
* Thorough knowledge of UK construction methods, Building Regulations, and technical standards
* Highly organised with excellent communication skills
* Confident working both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
* Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
Key responsibilities:
* Producing accurate, high:quality 2D and 3D drawings across planning, tender, and construction stages
* Translating design ideas into fully coordinated, buildable technical solutions
* Liaising with clients, consultants, and contractors to support smooth project delivery
* Coordinating with mechanical, electrical, and process engineers on layouts
* Assisting across RIBA Stages 1:5
* Preparing and managing planning applications while advising clients on requirements
* Ensuring all outputs meet current Building Regulations, codes, and best practice standards
* Undertaking site visits, compiling reports, and addressing technical queries with contractors
* Supporting scope of work documentation and contributing to design risk registers
