Teaching Personnel is currently working with a well-regarded primary school in the OL10 area that is seeking a committed and nurturing 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child with additional needs in a mainstream classroom setting during the Autumn Term of 2025.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external specialists to provide consistent, individualised support that promotes both academic and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver one-to-one support tailored to the individual needs of the pupil
* Support the implementation of EHCP targets and individual behaviour plans
* Adapt classroom resources and activities to ensure engagement and accessibility
* Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
* Track pupil progress and contribute to regular reviews and documentation
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Previous experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs)
* A calm, patient, and empathetic manner
* Strong communication and collaborative skills
* The ability to work independently and show initiative
* A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 TA or SEND qualification) – desirable
* A current enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
