Risk Analyst - Chubb
This position is within Chubb’s Risk Management Function, which is critical to the success of the organisation by supporting and challenging the first line risk management activities.
The role holder will support the Risk Management Function to promote and embed the Chubb Risk Management Framework (RMF) across all business segments and functional units within Chubb EMEA, enhancing risk management activities to support Chubb Limited’s corporate objectives.
Business segments include Property & Casualty, Accident & Health (Corporate), EMEA Consumer Lines, Chubb Global Markets, Chubb Tempest Re, and Chubb Bermuda International.
The Risk Analyst will report to the Head of Risk, UKISA, CGM & Life, working within a pool of resources supported by Chubb Business Services India (CBSI) in Bangalore, India.
The role is based in London and covers all branches within the EMEA region, which may require travel.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support coordination of business units and functional engagement to embed a culture of strong risk management, including risk identification, assessment, evaluation, reporting, loss event reporting, and promoting best practices.
2. Assist in strategic & annual business plan analysis, including scenario analysis to identify key risks and their impact on the risk profile and corporate objectives.
3. Support risk analysis and independent risk assessments, including scenario analysis within the scope of risk management.
4. Maintain the Risk Management Framework and relevant documentation, such as risk policies and ad-hoc risk reports across all legal entities.
5. Enhance second line of defence risk oversight by understanding material risks across business units and key projects.
6. Oversee risk management activities performed by CBSI and assist with other projects as needed.
7. Contribute to the ORSA processes and quarterly reporting.
8. Require understanding of insurance products, services, and regulatory regimes.
9. Ability to analyze quantitative data, interpret risk indicators, and assess impacts.
10. Demonstrate organizational, analytical, and effective communication skills.
11. Manage risks across diverse products and locations concurrently.
12. Work collaboratively within a team and demonstrate flexibility.
13. Degree level education or equivalent; professional qualifications in actuarial, finance, or risk management are desirable.
14. Basic knowledge of French or other European languages is a plus.
