Our Public Sector client based in Barnsley and specialising within the Housing Association Industry, requires a Stores Manager to assist with a transition to outsourcing the Stores Function of the Business.
The role is initially for 3 months with the potential opportunity to extend further.
The hourly rate is £20.29 per hour, based over 37 hours a week. The client is flexible to consider a 4-day working week.
The purpose of the role is to manage the stores function to ensure that the section provides a high quality, efficient, effective service to Construction services, clients and customers. This placement will include the supervision of staff.
Duties & Responsibilities will include:

To ensure Stores have effective processes and procedures in place for working in a warehouse environment picking, unloading deliveries (including heavy bulky items), ordering, storing, stock checking and distributing materials, plant and equipment.
To lead on reviewing all current policies and procedures in Stores and suggest areas for improvement to the Procurement Manager and to lead on the implementation of new methods of working to ensure Stores runs as efficiently as possible.
