Cable Operative
The Cable Operative will build and maintain new and existing Core Telecommunications Access Networks, both overhead and underground. The role involves cable pulling, test, rod and roping, spanning, mounting and identifying cables/parts of cables to be worked on in various locations and environments.
Responsibilities:
· Install and maintain fibre network overhead and underground
· Safely work on ladders, poles, and elevated platforms while adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
· Complete and update internal and external databases to record actions and daily whereabouts
· Self-audit work to ensure it meets all company and client standards
· Deliver high-quality, professional service
· Maintain a clean and tidy work environment at all times
· Work in all weather conditions
· Any other duties commensurate with the accountabilities for the role
Candidate Requirements:
· SA001, SA002, S7 and S8
· NRSWA Unit 2
· IPAF 1b
· Full UK Driving License
· Excellent communication skills. Good observational and analytical skills and a good eye for detail.
· Ability to work with minimum supervision
· Ability to work within a team
· Be able to prioritise, organise and manage tasks
· Sound practical knowledge and experience of Civils, Cabling, Splicing & testing and business installations.
· Must have good IT skills - specifically Microsoft Excel and Word.
THIS IS A SELF-EMPLOYED ROLE, PAID ON A DAY RATE BASIS

Pay: £150.00-£200.00 per day
