We are working with an award-winning, RIBA Chartered architectural practice to recruit an Architect for their Harrogate studio. With studios across the North of England and Wales, this practice is widely recognised for delivering well-crafted buildings of social, environmental and economic value, with particular strength in education, heritage, residential, workplace and community projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Architect looking to work on complex, design-led schemes, often involving listed buildings, sustainability challenges and multiple stakeholders, within a collaborative and values-driven practice.
The Architect Role
Reporting to a Studio Leader, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of projects across all RIBA stages, producing high-quality, well-coordinated design and technical information. You’ll work closely with clients, consultants and contractors, contributing to both project success and the wider studio culture.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Delivering technically robust, well-crafted architectural solutions
2. Producing and coordinating design and construction information in Revit
3. Ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations
4. Supporting peer reviews and maintaining high technical standards
5. Engaging positively with clients and external stakeholders
6. Contributing to sustainability, heritage and low-carbon design objectives
7. Mentoring and supporting junior team members where appropriate
About You
We are keen to speak with Architects who are passionate about design quality, collaboration and continuous improvement.
You will ideally have:
8. Part III qualified Architect, registered with ARB and ideally RIBA
9. 3+ years’ UK practice experience post-qualification
10. Strong experience delivering projects across multiple sectors
11. High level of proficiency in Autodesk Revit
12. Solid knowledge of UK Building Regulations
13. Experience with NBS (Building / Chorus) advantageous
14. PD (Building Regulations) experience beneficial but not essential
15. Interest in low-carbon, sustainable and/or heritage-led design
16. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
17. A positive, proactive and team-oriented mindset
