Hays are working exclusively with an established manufacturing business who are looking for a Ledger controller to join their team in Telford on a permanent basis
Your new role
You will be working closely with the Financial Controller and duties will include:
Purchase ledger - processing invoices through to payment runs and month end
Sales Ledger - post and allocate cash
Credit control - manage the age debt, including stop lists, credit checks, credit limits, proactively chasing debts and resolving queries
Any additional assistance within the finance team as required
What you'll need to succeed
You should be an experienced Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger Clerk or ledger Clerk who is looking for an opportunity to take ownership of this function. Good IT skills, including Excel, are essential, as is the ability to work well within a small team and be flexible and adaptable. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy as well as the ability to work to deadlines are required.
