Animation Producer – Wild Child Animation
Wild Child Animation, an award‑winning 2D and CG studio based in Stirling, Scotland, is looking for an experienced Animation Producer to manage communication between clients, heads of department and production teams on animated TV productions for large broadcast clients.
About The Role
As the Animation Producer you will:
* Maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and proactive troubleshooting.
* Lead the resolution of client concerns and anticipate future issues.
* Support Heads of Department by relaying client expectations and monitoring progress against bids and resources.
* Work with creative team leads, line producers and production managers to determine project scope, set parameters and mitigate risks.
* Monitor departmental progress and report regularly to the Head of Production and the team.
We prefer candidates based in Scotland but are open to remote work for the right fit.
What We Are Looking For
* Strong client‑management skills and a calm, positive demeanour.
* Experience in client‑facing roles on 5+ delivered TV productions for large broadcast clients.
* Ability to work with creative team leads, line producers and production managers to define scope and set realistic budgets and schedules.
* Proactivity in assessing departmental complexities and developing processes to mitigate risks.
* Confident troubleshooting alongside clients and internal teams to adapt to changes.
In This Role You Will
* Support the production team in monitoring departmental progress against bids.
* Drive continuous improvement of production processes with creative leads.
* Provide regular status reports to HOP and the team, escalating issues in a timely manner.
* Maintain the project production tracker and raise resource issues.
* Produce monthly cost reports for the client, working with HOP to ensure accuracy and transparency.
* Feed information to the Production department for weekly departmental and production reports, identifying under‑reported areas and areas for improvement.
* Collaborate with Line Producers and Production Managers to update schedules and identify training needs.
* Use production planners such as Kitsu or Shotgrid and Google Sheets for production processes.
Contract & Working Conditions
Fixed‑term contract starting July/August 2025, lasting approximately one year.
Location: Remote, hybrid or in‑person at the Stirling studio.
Hours: Standard studio hours are 10 am to 6 pm, Monday‑Friday. Flexibility can be discussed on an individual basis.
Studio closures: 4 – 15 August 2025. Additional closures for Easter, summer and Christmas will be noted and counted against holiday allowance.
