Hays Health & Safety are pleased to be working with a leading construction consultancy offering Health & Safety services across Northern UK. We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Consultant to lead consultancy services across a diverse range of construction projects. This role offers the opportunity to work at both strategic and operational levels, influencing safety culture andpliance from project inception through topletion.
You will act as the lead consultant on health & safetymissions, manage client relationships, and mentor junior team members. The position also involves contributing to business development, supporting bids and proposals, and driving best practice across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead health & safety consultancy services across multiple projects.
2. Act as primary client contact, ensuring statutorypliance and best practice.
3. Manage and mentor junior staff, supporting their professional development.
4. Contribute to business growth through bid submissions and fee proposals.
5. Oversee resource planning, budgets, and quality management systems.
6. Drive continuous improvement and share best practice across the business.
Requirements
7. Significant experience in a construction-related organisation.
8. NEBOSH qualified (Diploma desirable).
9. Strong knowledge of CDM regulations, Building Safety Act, and risk management.
10. Proven ability to manage resources, budgets, and deliver projects on time.
11. Excellentmunication and stakeholder engagement skills.
12. A Full UK Drivers' Licence
