The Role

Do you excel at organisation and communication, and want to be part of a dynamic school environment?

We are looking for a professional Administrative Assistant with excellent communication skills to be the first point of contact for parents / carers, pupils, staff and visitors at our busy school.Working as part of the Administration Team, you will also undertake routine clerical and administrative duties.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate good literacy and numeracy skills.In addition, you will be self-motivated and be able to deal with issues in a calm and professional manner.

Qualifications

Qualification Title

Maths and English GCSE (4-9 /C-A* grade) Essential

Level 3 in Business Administration. Must be willing to work towards Level 4 in Business Administration Essential

Skills

Experience/Knowledge

At least 6 months’ previous administrative experience gained in a busy environment Essential

Awareness of child protection issues Desirable

Experience of face-to-face and telephone reception duties Essential

Knowledge of Data Protection requirements and understanding of confidentiality Essential

Special Requirements

Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children Essential

Commitment to safeguarding pupils and suitability to work with young people Essential

Ability to attend occasional events outside the school day Essential

The ability to communicate at ease and provide advice in accurate spoken English Essential

Ability to greet visitors to the school in a welcoming and professional manner Essential

An enhanced DBS check is required for this post and the successful applicant will either need to apply for a DBS or give Northern Arch Learning Partnership consent to check their status if they are registered with the DBS Update Service.The Trust complies with the Code of Practice issued by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
