About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Logistics Manager Europe to lead and strategically manage end‑to‑end logistics.
This role can be based in Croydon, UK or Brzeg, Poland, and will take ownership of regional logistics strategy, performance, cost control and compliance. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure our logistics network supports business growth, excellent customer service and operational efficiency.
This is a senior leadership role with real influence and visibility, making a direct impact on service, cost management, sustainability and risk across multiple countries.
Role Responsibilities
Strategy & Governance
* Define and deliver the European logistics strategy aligned with business and operational objectives
* Drive standardisation of logistics processes across all sites, including inbound, outbound and inter‑site flows
* Own and manage the regional logistics budget, covering freight, warehousing, customs and associated costs
* Lead 3PL and carrier tender processes, including contract negotiations and service level agreements
Performance & Cost Management
* Deliver agreed OTIF, lead time and cost‑to‑serve targets across the region
* Develop and maintain KPI dashboards covering service, cost, claims, damage and sustainability
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce freight cost and improve service reliability
* Optimise transport modes, shipping lanes and inventory positioning
3PL & Supplier Management
* Build strong partnerships with freight forwarders, carriers and warehouse providers
* Conduct regular performance reviews and lead corrective action where needed
* Develop contingency plans for peak demand periods and supply disruption
Compliance & Risk
* Ensure compliance with EU and international transport, customs and trade regulations
* Oversee Incoterms alignment, export documentation and customs processes
* Manage logistics risk, including insurance, claims and contractual exposure
Systems, Data & Reporting
* Champion accurate, timely logistics reporting across Europe
* Support the optimisation of ERP, WMS and TMS systems
* Use data‑driven insights to inform decision‑making and long‑term improvements
Stakeholder Engagement
* Partner closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Customer Service and Finance
* Provide clear reporting to senior leadership on logistics performance and risk
* Support commercial teams with customer logistics requirements
What you'll need
Experience
* Proven logistics leadership experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
* Experience managing multi‑site and multi‑country logistics operations
* Strong track record of managing 3PL tenders and negotiating commercial contracts
* Experience in international freight, customs and trade compliance
Skills & Knowledge
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability with commercial awareness
* Ability to influence and collaborate across functions and geographies
* Confident communicator in English (Polish language skills are beneficial but not essential, depending on location)
* Strong systems capability, including ERP and logistics reporting tools
Qualifications
* Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or a related discipline (preferred)
* Continuous improvement or Lean experience is desirable
