Job Overview
The Night Receptionist is the first smile after dark and the last goodbye at dawn. You’ll welcome guests for smooth check-ins, offer genuine, thoughtful care throughout their stay, and send them off with a polished check-out. As the hotel’s after-hours ambassador, you ensure resident and non-resident guests are looked after and escorted to the right spaces.
You’ll handle payments for past, current, and future stays with accuracy, stay fully clued-up on hotel info and product knowledge, and deliver every answer on-brand. You’ll also review and prepare folios before and after night audit, spotting and correcting any discrepancies so everything’s flawless by morning.
Your tasks as a Night Auditor will include but will not be limited to :
●To create a warm, welcoming and lasting impression for our guests.
●To provide a genuine, attentive, and friendly service to our guests to reflect our Aethos standards.
●To handle incoming enquiries swiftly regarding check in/check out times, room availability, hotels services.
●To deal with the arrival and departure processes for all guests, ensuring all standard operating procedures are adhered to.
●Cross-check all group and departure billing for the next morning ; spot and fix discrepancies.
●Prep the nightly essentials: accurate night reports, keys/welcome letters for groups.
●To carefully handle all necessary payments in line with department SOPs.
●To be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of guest billing, financial transactions and the Reception float.
●Flag credit risks, escalate to the Night Manager when needed.
●To maximize revenue by upselling hotel services including transportation, room category/breakfast upsells, F&B and Spa.
●To anticipate guest’s needs and provide them with a personalised, crafted experience.
●To ensure compliance with standards of operation.
●To be an ambassador for Aethos as well as someone who embodies our values.

●Previous Hotel Receptionist experience in a 5-star and/or lifestyle property.
●Excellent grooming standards.
●Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
●Competent level of IT proficiency.
●Fluent in written and spoken English.
●Knowledge of MEWS PMS and Unifocus is a plus.
