Our client, a leader in the highways sector, is currently seeking a Construction Manager to manage site operations within the Council's network. This contract position will involve overseeing various aspects of highway construction projects. Key Responsibilities: Managing and administering the construction works in accordance with the contract. Overseeing fulfilment of the duties of the Principal Contractor under CDM and under the NEC conditions of contract. Ensuring the Kier 5 SHE Basics, Training and Competence, Risk Assessment for every task, Induction for every worker, Safe System of Work, and Point of Work Risk Assessment are embedded for all works. Ensuring effective implementation of the Construction Phase Plan, including compliance with specific requirements (e.g., site inductions and site rules). Preparing, monitoring, and maintaining a robust construction programme. Job Requirements: Experience in construction management, particularly within the highways sector. Strong understanding of CDM regulations and NEC conditions of contract. Proficiency in health and safety management practices. Ability to prepare and manage construction programmes effectively.
