Role

Biosus Energy Ltd is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Sales Lead to spearhead our expansion efforts in the Energy as a Service sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving business growth, forge strategic partnerships, and successfully implement renewable energy projects, particularly in solar PV, Biogas CHP, and BESS installations.


Key Responsibilities

* Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies for CHP, Solar, and Biomass projects, targeting commercial, industrial, and agricultural sectors.
* Lead Generation & Prospecting: Proactively seek new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and industry events to build a robust pipeline.
* Technical & Economic Appraisal: Carry out site assessments and use energy data to develop and present viable technical/economic proposals.
* Tender Management: Prepare, submit, and negotiate complex tender responses, including project costing, design, and commercial terms.
* Customer Relationship Management: Manage relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., Directors, Engineers etc) throughout the project lifecycle.
* Product Knowledge: Maintain expert knowledge of CHP (20kW-2.5MW+), solar, and biomass technologies, as well as relevant regulations and funding mechanisms (e.g., Net Zero, grants).
* Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records in the CRM system, providing regular sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
* Internal Collaboration: Coordinate with design and installation teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale to installation.


Required Skills and Qualifications

* Experience: 3+ years in technical sales, preferably within the renewable energy (CHP, Solar, Biomass), or industrial engineering sector.
* Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of CHP engines, commercial solar PV systems, or biomass boiler systems.
* Commercial Acumen: Proven experience in managing full-cycle sales, contract negotiation, and margin protection.
* Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical benefits to non-technical decision-makers.
* Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse energy data and site conditions to create tailored, profitable proposals.
* Qualifications: Degree in Engineering or Business Management (desirable), or equivalent experience.
* Driving License: A full, clean driver's license is required for site visits.

* Achievement of annual/quarterly sales targets.
* Pipeline growth and conversion rates.
* Accuracy of sales forecasts.
* Client retention and satisfaction scores.
