About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Vehicle Technician / Automotive Mechanic to join our busy workshop. You will work across a wide range of vehicles, performing diagnostics, servicing, repairs, and engine/gearbox work. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys technical challenges, precision, and hands-on work, and wants a stable Monday–Friday schedule with optional overtime.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform routine vehicle servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs
* Diagnose faults using modern diagnostic equipment and software
* Conduct gearbox repairs, clutch work, and engine-related repairs including head gasket replacements
* Support MOT preparation and servicing alongside MOT testers (if qualified)
* Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
* Ensure all vehicles are safe, reliable, and customer-ready
* Work collaboratively within a skilled and professional workshop team
* Contribute to a clean, organised, and safety-focused workshop environment
About You
* Fully qualified Vehicle Technician / Mechanic (NVQ Level 2 or 3 preferred)
* Strong experience in diagnostics, engine repairs, gearbox and clutch work
* MOT Testing and F-Gas certification preferred but not essential
* Reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented
* Full UK driving licence
* Own tools required
* Excellent team player with strong communication and organisational skills
