The successful Design & Technology Teacher (Product Design) will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to develop their design thinking and practical making skills. Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging Design & Technology Teacher (Product Design) lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Prepare students thoroughly for GCSE Design & Technology, focusing on the product design specialism. Develop students' understanding of design processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques relevant to product design. Assess and monitor student progress in product design, providing constructive feedback as a Design & Technology Teacher (Product Design). Contribute to the evolution of the design and technology curriculum, specifically within product design. Maintain a safe and well-equipped product design workshop environment for student learning. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Design & Technology, with a strong emphasis on Product Design. Demonstrated experience in teaching Design & Technology at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4), with a focus on product design. Strong practical abilities in a range of making processes and a good understanding of design methodologies. Excellent communication and organisational skills essential for managing a practical subject. Ability to inspire students' creativity and technical proficiency within the field of product design.
