Commercial Administrator – Sizewell C (Rendlesham, Woodbridge IP12)

£16.50 per hour plus 12 percent holiday pay (PAYE)
42.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | Site based with occasional work from home if needed

The Sizewell C programme is growing at pace and the commercial team needs additional administrative support as the workload increases. This is a Tier 1 main contractor delivering a major package of work on one of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects.

The Role

This is a Commercial Administrator position supporting the commercial and project teams with day to day cost, finance and document administration. It is a steady, structured role where accuracy and organisation matter more than anything else.

The working environment is grown up and flexible. Core hours are 8 to 5 with reasonable flexibility around start and finish times. Some people work through lunch or shift slightly earlier. The focus is on delivering good quality work within the 42.5 hour week.

The role is primarily site based in Rendlesham, Woodbridge, but the team is sensible about the occasional work from home day if needed.

What They Are Looking For

A dependable, experienced administrator with good exposure to finance, commercial or cost related work. Someone comfortable handling invoices, documentation and systems, and who can keep on top of multiple moving parts without being micromanaged.

People who do well in this environment often come from finance admin, project admin or compliance backgrounds. Experienced finance professionals can also manage the role well, but equally a strong administrator with regular experience handling invoices, POs or cost systems would be a great fit.

Ideally they are looking for someone with 10 plus years experience in an administrative or finance support function.

Responsibilities

• Downloading and collating invoices and documentation for submission to the client for audit
• Reviewing outstanding unpaid invoices on Orbit and progressing them through to payment
• Managing progress trackers for daily team meetings
• Collating weekly labour timesheets and issuing to suppliers for invoicing
• Processing invoices and purchase orders
• Maintaining trackers and electronic filing systems
• Uploading and organising documents in SharePoint, Viewpoint and similar platforms
• General commercial and project administration

Pay and Setup

• £16.50 per hour plus 12 percent holiday pay
• PAYE
• Weekly pay
• Working with a Tier 1 main contractor on the Sizewell C programme
• Location: Rendlesham, Woodbridge, IP12
