If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Assistant to join our Global Brands marketing team.
The Marketing Assistant will support the team in the promotion and organising of our international portfolio of face-to-face and digital events, awards, media and online publications in the agriculture, food-tech and nutra-ingredient industries.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Uploading new content to the event websites, including blog posts, images, and agendas
2. Editing photos and biographies to match our company style
3. Proofreading and checking all websites regularly to ensure they are accurate and up to date
4. Keeping up to date with SEO, web analytics, and tools, and implementing improvements
5. Creating graphics and editing videos in Canva for use in our email campaigns and social media, and sharing with our speakers, delegates and event partners
6. Liaising with external graphic designers as needed for graphic templates and brochure updates
7. Supporting our social media campaigns by monitoring industry news and partner or influencer activity, gathering internal news from the team, writing, and scheduling content
8. Assembling content for brochures, programs, and web stories, following up with speakers and sponsors by telephone where needed
9. Coordinating and reporting on activities with marketing and media partners to amplify noise before the event
10. Issuing press invitations to journalists and following up on post-event articles
11. Gathering data from relevant associations and competitor events to build our internal database
12. Coordinating advertising content, ad banners and bookings on our media sites
13. Helping to run events on the day as a key part of the event team onsite
Requirements
What you’ll need:
14. Experience in a marketing, social media, PR or related role
15. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), accuracy and attention to detail
16. Proficient IT skills including MS Office, especially Word and Excel
17. Experience working with website content management systems is essential, and further experience using database or CRM systems, such as Salesforce is desirable
18. Proficiency in Canva or a similar image and video editing design software and an eye for design
19. Understanding of social media for business, especially LinkedIn
20. Self-motivated, proactive and highly organised, with an ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities
21. Additional languages such as Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic or Mandarin would be advantageous but not essential
22. Flexibility in working hours to work with international stakeholders
23. Willingness to travel and support onsite at the events (UK-based to start, with international travel as you progress) and occasionally travel to our Gatwick office
