Reporting to the Environmental and Sustainability Manager, the Environmental and Sustainability Specialist (Senior Environmental Advisor) will play a key role in implementing Telent's Sustainability Strategy and supporting Business Units to meet waste and carbon reduction objectives, customer expectations, ISO14001, and legal requirements across our Rail and Asset Management divisions. This is an agile role with up to 50% UK-wide travel.
What you'll do:
* Provide specialist guidance and advice to EHS teams and project leads on environment and sustainability to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
* Support risk management by defining an environmental assurance regime, including audit programs, and ensuring effective practices through inspections and audits.
* Assist in preparing sustainability and carbon reduction plans for contracts and bids.
* Support development and maintenance of performance data and carbon management reports for various requirements.
* Ensure regular reviews of environmental aspects and impacts, including climate change risks.
* Help embed sustainable and carbon reduction practices throughout the Project Life Cycle.
Who you are:
You should have experience in a similar Environmental & Sustainability role within industries such as Rail, Telecoms, Utilities, or Construction.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum Qualification - PIEMA
