Role Overview The school is seeking an experienced and driven School Business Manager (SBM) to lead on operational, financial and administrative functions. This is a key leadership role that will involve overseeing finance, HR, facilities and administration while supporting strategic planning. The successful candidate will ensure the school operates efficiently and continues to improve. Key Responsibilities • Leading financial planning, budgeting and reporting • Managing administrative and support staff teams • Overseeing HR processes including recruitment and contracts • Managing facilities, site operations and health and safety • Supporting strategic planning alongside the Headteacher • Ensuring compliance with policies and regulations • Managing contracts and procurement • Overseeing school resources and operational systems • Preparing reports for governors and leadership • Supporting school improvement initiatives • Liaising with external providers and stakeholders The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be highly organised, strategic and capable of managing multiple operational areas. They will have strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and leadership teams. A solution-focused mindset and strong problem-solving ability will be essential.
