Job Summary
This fixed‑term (2‑year) role offers an exceptional individual the chance to become the GP Regional Lead (0.1‑0.2 WTE) for the Primary Care and Community Research Delivery Centre, part of Health and Care Research Wales. The post will provide regional clinical leadership for the Primary Care and Community Research Delivery Programme, supporting the expansion of clinical research across Wales and the delivery of research services closer to home.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver plans to support and develop multi‑agency working for research across Wales.
* Develop and deploy new models of research delivery and care pathways that promote prevention, well‑being and integration of public sector services.
* Support the development of the "One Wales" model.
* Provide medical investigator support to primary and secondary care trials.
Qualifications
* Qualified Medical Professional.
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Experience
* Practising GP or equivalent experience.
* Strong background in clinical governance, medical management and organisational change.
* Track record in performance management, process improvement and group facilitation.
* Experience in research and development within a health and social care environment.
* Understanding of Welsh health and social care systems and national targets.
* Knowledge of public health medicine principles relevant to NHS Wales.
