Manufacturing Process Engineer (CCM)
Location: Sheffield
Direct applications only - No agency applicants at this stage
We have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Process Engineer who will be a key member of the Production Engineering team responsible for supporting the industrialisation, optimisation and continuous improvement of Catalyst Coated Membrane manufacturing processes. The role focuses on enabling a stable, scalable and high‑quality production process through hands‑on engineering support, structured problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
A core aspect of the role is supporting the introduction of new equipment and processes into manufacturing. This includes contributing to equipment specification, supporting supplier engagement, assisting with commissioning activities and ensuring smooth integration into production. The Manufacturing Process Engineer will work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure equipment and processes meet performance, quality and cost expectations.
The role also plays an active part in continuous improvement across the CCM area, driving improvements in yield, throughput, cost and workplace organisation. This includes applying structured CI methodologies, supporting capital improvement proposals and helping build the systems and standards required for repeatable, high‑volume manufacturing.
Working closely with the Principal Engineer and production teams, the Manufacturing Process Engineer captures, stabilises and continuously improves process knowledge to support scalable CCM manufacturing.
