Your key responsibilities will include:
* Drive straddle carriers to move containers within the Terminal / Port to service landside and shipside operations.
* Manual handling, lashing, and mooring.
* Deliver customers' cargo to and from vessels in the condition it was received.
* Perform cargo handling, housekeeping duties, and basic maintenance.
* Understand and follow computer-delivered information.
* Uphold high safety standards and adhere to operating policies and procedures.
* Ensure customer satisfaction in deliveries.
* Maintain shift, start, and finish time integrity.
* Care for company property and equipment.
* Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the line manager.
What are we looking for?
* Experience in ports and with plant machinery is preferred but not necessary, as full training will be provided.
* Team players eager to make a positive impact on port operations.
* Full UK driving license.
* Full UK working rights.
* Flexible approach to shift patterns.
* Experience driving a straddle carrier is advantageous.
Additional requirements include:
* Full right to work in the UK.
* Availability to work shifts including early, late, night shifts, and weekends.
