Field Service Engineer – Electrical Bias – International Travel – £40k + car allowance + bonus + overtime = £70-80k package
Samuel Frank is recruiting for an electrically biased Field Service Engineer to join a specialist engineering company based in the York area of North Yorkshire. The successful Field Service Engineer will spend 1 week in 4 based in the office in the outskirts of York, so will need to live within a reasonable travelling distance.
Key aspects of the Field Service Engineer role include;
* Strong electrical fault finding experience – essential requirement (be able to read Electrical drawings
* Willingness to travel globally – some work will be UK based, a lot will be European and some will be occasionally long-haul
* A normal trip will be 7-10 days in duration and rare jobs that come up infrequently could be 2-3 weeks
* Any knowledge of refrigeration or air conditioning will be beneficial, not essential
* Field Service Engineer will be involved in the installation and commissioning of existing and new machinery/equipment.
* Once trained, the successful Field Service Engineer will take an active role in the telephone support team 1 week in every 4 and provide active remote service support. This will be “days” cover and take place in York.
* Advise the customer on maintenance of the equipment and promote the sale of spare parts, service maintenance agreements and scheduled maintenance/calibration
* IT literate – key requirement
* Full UK driving licence
* Be able to travel internationally without restriction
* The Service Manager estimates that once the Field Service Engineer is up & running, earning £25-30k per year in overtime is a reasonable estimate
You’ll be joining a global company with sister and subsidiary businesses all over the world, working with household brands.
The company’s offices are commutable from York, Harrogate, North Leeds, Wetherby, Selby, Driffield, Thirsk, Ripon, Goole, Castleford and Pontefract.
