The role of the Assistant Building Surveyor is critical to maintaining and upgrading the Council's housing stock. You will investigate, assess, and record the materials, age, and condition of Council housing assets, ensuring accurate data collection to assist with investment plans, capital programs, and net zero carbon strategies.
You will support Building Surveyors in delivering surveying, specification, and estimating functions, and will procure and manage contracts.
You must be proficient in IT, including MS Office, Outlook, databases, and AutoCAD. While capable of working independently, support from the team is available. Experience working with older and vulnerable client groups is preferable, but full training is provided.
