Job summary We are delighted to invite applications for a 1.0wte full time, 12 month fixed term, Band 7 Operational and Clinical Team Manager opportunities within ourChildren and Young Peoples Mental Health Services This is a rewarding leadership opportunity forexperienced and motivated professionals who are passionate about improvingoutcomes for children, young people, and families. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality early interventionmental health support within the Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) EarlyIntervention Pathway. The role involves providing both operational and clinicalleadership to multidisciplinary teams working within the mild-to-moderatechildren and young peoples mental health pathway. You will support the delivery of safe,effective, and compassionate care, ensuring children and young people receivetimely and appropriate support to meet their needs. Main duties of the job As an Operational and Clinical Team Manager, you willlead and support teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based mental healthinterventions across schools and community settings. You will be responsiblefor the day-to-day operational management of the service, while also providingclinical leadership, supervision, and guidance to practitioners andsupervisors. Providing operational and clinical leadership toMHST and CWP teams Line management, supervision, and professionalsupport of practitioners and supervisors Overseeing referral screening, allocation, andclinical decision-making processes Managing team performance, caseloads, andservice delivery targets Supporting staff wellbeing, development, and apositive team culture Working collaboratively with schools, partneragencies, and wider CFHD services Ensuring services are delivered safely,effectively, and in line with national and local priorities This role requires a compassionate and confident leaderwith excellent communication and organisational skills, alongside a strongunderstanding of children and young peoples mental health and earlyintervention approaches.
