Basic Salary: £21,292.04 - £24,824.80 (52-week), Hourly Rate: £12.40, Pro-rata
Actual Salary: £8,295.60
Contract: Term-time only, 15 hours per week, 12-month Fixed Term Contract

As a One-to-One Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the learning experiences of pupils with diverse special educational and learning needs. Your support will empower them to gain independence and fully engage in the curriculum and school life at Herdley Bank School.
Your Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to pupils in one-on-one, group, and classroom settings, including during lunch and break times.
* Accompany pupils on organized school visits as needed.
* Collaborate with the SENDCo to foster social skills and appropriate behavior.
* Assist in developing, delivering, and monitoring individual learning programs.
* Support pupils who may exhibit challenging behaviors.
* Help resolve issues that may cause anxiety or emotional responses.
* Maintain accurate records as required by the school.
* Engage in collaborative planning with teaching staff to optimize support.
* Contribute to the delivery of the Key Stage 2 and 3 curriculum.
* Participate in working groups and team initiatives.
* Attend weekly staff meetings and relevant training events.
What We’re Looking For
* Relevant experience in a similar environment or appropriate qualifications.
* Academic qualifications to at least GCSE standard and professional qualifications to at least NVQ Level 2, or proven competency in a similar role.
* Basic first aid knowledge.
* Ability to work independently with high accuracy and maintain clear records.
* Strong time management skills and flexibility to meet job demands.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a busy team environment.
* Effective oral and written communication skills across various contexts (pupils, parents, colleagues, etc.).
* Willingness to undertake relevant training for personal development.
* Knowledge of child development and different learning styles is a plus.
* Understanding of ACEs and childhood trauma effects is beneficial; training will be provided.
* Access to a vehicle and a full driving license are required due to location.
* Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check upon successful application.
