Your role
Do you have a knack for working to deadlines in process driven and high volume environment? Are you accurate with good attention to detail? Do you ask questions if you're not sure how to proceed? If so, we're looking for someone like you who can help us:
* Action the accurate & timely booking and cash settlement of security, OTC, FX & money market transactions.
* Pre-agree settlement of any lifecycle events on the products managed.
* Interact with counterparties and agents to confirm transactions.
* Oversee intra and end of day control reporting ensuring accuracy and resolution is completed on a timely basis.
* Evaluate and report the UBS Jersey Branch daily risk limits.
* Manage the timely reconciliation of cash accounts and trade confirmations versus counterparties.
* Resolve complex technical breaks in a timely basis.
* Manage queries and ensure timely and accurate resolution.
* Detect and escalate risk in the area of business.
* Collate & report Management Information Statistics & outstanding risk metrics to multiple risk departments and senior management.
* Identify process improvements and work with colleagues to implement efficiency & control.
Your team
You will be part of the Group Managed Business team based in Jersey. The team maintains close connections with multiple areas of the bank across different locations to ensure effective performance and alignment on strategic priorities, thereby providing exposure to multiple aspects of banking operations. You will collaborate with your line manager, as well as Business Partners and Stakeholders.
Your expertise
* Strong understanding of cash management, payments, and banking products
* Knowledge of financial instruments (FX, money markets, derivatives)
* Familiarity with payment platforms (SWIFT)
* Experience with treasury liquidity management and financial reporting
* Basic understanding of accounting and finance principles
* Analytical and problem-solving skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong Excel and data analysis skills
* An understanding of operational & financial risk, and the capacity to escalate issues in line with procedures.
