About Us
Heal Care Group is a fast-growing, values-led provider of residential children’s homes, on a mission to raise the bar and set the gold-standard for children’s care in the UK.
Our homes are designed to deliver life-changing impact, but to do that we need exceptional people at every level of our organisation.
With multiple homes now open and more on the way, we’re building a leadership team that shares our vision: to transform children’s residential care into something better, braver, and more aspirational.
The Role
We’re looking for a Head of Talent to own everything people-related at Heal. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing organisation at a pivotal stage and make a direct, lasting difference to both staff and young people.
You’ll be hands-on in supporting our recruitment efforts - posting jobs, screening candidates, chasing references, but also managing strategic HR initiatives - shaping how we engage staff, strengthen our culture, and professionalise HR across the group.
Your role will span the full people lifecycle:
* Employer branding – positioning Heal as the employer of choice in children’s care.
* Recruitment & safer recruitment – sourcing, screening, and onboarding outstanding staff.
* Onboarding & induction – ensuring every new starter has an inspiring first 90 days.
* Training & supervision compliance – keeping us Ofsted inspection-ready at all times.
* Engagement & culture – building initiatives that keep staff motivated, supported, and proud to work here.
You’ll report directly to our CEO and work closely with our Director of Operations and Home Managers
What We’re Looking For
* Proven recruitment experience (in-house or agency) with the confidence to pick up the phone and headhunt.
* Strong understanding of HR processes and safer recruitment standards (care/education sector experience ideal but not essential).
* Organised and data-driven - you love dashboards, trackers, and compliance.
* Pragmatic and hands-on - as comfortable drafting strategy as you are screening candidates.
* A natural people person with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Above all: passionate about shaping a team that delivers a life-changing impact for children.
Why Join Us?
* Impact: Every hire you make plays a part in building a life-changing care service.
* Autonomy: Build the people function your way, with full backing from the CEO.
* Growth: Join us at scale-up stage, with opportunities to grow your role as we expand.
* Culture: Work with a leadership team determined to raise the bar for both staff and children’s care.
The Package
* £40,000–£50,000 base salary (depending on experience).
* Pension + benefits.
* Hybrid working with Midlands base.
* Genuine opportunity to grow with the business as we expand.
This is a rare chance to step into a role that’s both strategic and hands-on in a company setting the pace for children’s residential care. Ready to Make a Real Impact? Join us in raising the bar for children in care. Apply today!
