Overview
In this role, you will work closely with children, foster carers and Wakefield Local Authority to identify suitable adoptive families for children. Your responsibilities will include family finding for children, coordinating family finding activities, and ensuring that matches are well-informed and in the best interests of the child. You will also provide ongoing support to both children and adopters during the transition and post-placement period, helping to ensure stability and positive outcomes. Responsibilities
You will be joining a supportive team with regular supervision and opportunities for ongoing development. You will be a qualified Social Worker with some post qualifying experience and an interest in adoption. You will have relevant knowledge and skills in relation to working in Children’s Services or Adoption. You will be motivated to achieve permanence for children via adoption and have excellent communication and written skills as well as being a team player. You will have the ability to understand the needs of and work collaboratively with children, families and other key stakeholders within the area of adoption.

This role is based in the UK. Home Office guidance states that candidates must evidence their right to work in the UK prior to commencing employment, either as a UK or Irish citizen, under the EU Settlement scheme or having secured any other relevant work visa.
