Job Summary
We're looking for a hands-on Facilities Manager to take charge of keeping our hotel running smoothly behind the scenes. This is a great opportunity for a Junior Facilities Assistant or Supervisor who's ready to step up into their next role. You'll be working closely with the maintenance team, rolling up your sleeves when needed, and making sure our hotel facilities are safe, efficient, and well-presented for guests and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities
* Work side by side with the maintenance team to carry out day-to-day repairs, checks, and upkeep across the hotel.
* Take ownership of preventive maintenance schedules, ensuring everything from lighting to HVAC systems is running smoothly.
* Respond quickly to maintenance issues and help coordinate fixes with minimal impact on guests.
* Manage relationships with external contractors and service providers where specialist support is needed.
* Keep accurate records of work completed, inspections, and compliance checks.
* Ensure all health, safety, and fire regulations are followed and documented.
* Support the team by being visible and practical — this role is about being on the floor, not just behind a desk.
* Assist with budget planning and cost control for facilities-related expenses.
Requirements
* Experience in a facilities or maintenance role (hotel / hospitality experience a bonus, but not essential).
* A proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to get involved in day-to-day maintenance tasks.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills — able to motivate and support colleagues.
* Basic knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) and health & safety practices.
* Great role for someone stepping up from a Facilities Assistant or Supervisor role into their first management position.
What We Offer
* A fantastic chance to take the next step in your facilities career.
* Supportive environment with opportunities for training and development.
* Competitive salary and benefits.
* A role where you'll be part of a close-knit team, not just managing from the sidelines.
