An architectural practice based in the creative heart of South London, widely regarded as one of the best in the industry from a design perspective is seeking an experienced Part 3 qualified Project Architect to join its growing studio, supporting the delivery of major workplace refurbishment and residential conversion developments.
This well established practice works across high-quality commercial, residential and mixed-use projects, with a strong reputation for complex retrofit and large-scale reuse schemes throughout the UK. With multiple landmark schemes commencing in 2026, the studio is expanding and offers excellent long-term career progression opportunities, including a clear pathway to Associate level.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of assigned projects or design packages across RIBA Stages 3–5 on complex refurbishment and conversion schemes.
* Produce, coordinate and manage detailed technical design packages and construction documentation using Revit.
* Develop architectural solutions to complex retrofit and construction challenges.
* Coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams as lead designer.
* Work collaboratively with contractors, attending regular site and progress meetings.
* Prepare and manage specifications, technical detailing and compliance deliverables for Building Control and contractor packages.
* Communicate directly with clients and stakeholders to ensure programme, budget and design quality are maintained.
* Support and mentor junior team members while contributing to office-wide design culture.
Qualifications
* RIBA Part III qualified and ARB registered Architect.
* Proven experience delivering large refurbishment and adaptive-reuse projects in the UK.
* Strong technical delivery background, ideally across Stages 3–5.
* Ability to run project workstreams or design packages independently.
* High-level proficiency in Revit essential.
* Experienced in consultant coordination and contractor interface.
* Confident technical problem solver with excellent detailing and specification ability.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
