Please note that this vacancy may be withdrawn at any time should it be filled via the internal redeployment process Job Overview An exciting opportunity has become available within Chepstow Community Hospital winter ward providing care for our patients under care of St Arvans ward for a Health Care Support Worker to join our caring and professional nursing team delivering excellent nursing care to our patients. Currently we are unable to provide certificates of sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the Home Office’s criteria. Anyone requiring a certificate of sponsorship is therefore unable to be shortlisted and interviewed. Main duties of the job The ward is a friendly welcoming team looking to recruit individuals who have a passion for patient care, and are committed to providing high standards of care for patients, their families and carers within a hospital setting. The successful candidate will ideally possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal and good computer skills. They will be enthusiastic about change management and supportive towards their colleagues. An NVQ level 2 qualification is desirable but not essential for this post. The ward will consist of 22 beds nursing patients with a variety of medical needs focusing on rehabilitation. The shifts are 12 hours days and nights including bank holidays. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
