The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor, providing expert legal support and solutions on a range of regulatory, compliance, commercial contracts and data protection, professional conduct issues and, from time to time, support on claims and related matters. This position requires a proactive individual who can develop projects and handle day-to-day queries from senior stakeholders, including senior management and committees. Remote working may be available. You will join Reed Smith's legal team with day-to-day reporting to the General Counsel, EMEA.
Responsibilities
* Advising on legal, regulatory and ethical standards applicable to the Firm and its employees.
* Investigating potential conduct issues.
* Designing and implementing compliance systems and procedures.
* Leading global risk management projects.
* Developing and rolling out global risk management policies and providing training.
* Actively promote an ethical, inclusive and diverse working environment.
* Advising on contract issues and data protection queries.
Key Skills, Attributes And Experience
* English and Welsh qualified lawyer (preferably a solicitor).
* Experience in an international law firm or similar, in either a time-keeper or compliance role.
* Strong technical knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks.
* Strong analytical, research and presentation skills.
