Executive Officer to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement) – University of Bath
We are seeking an Executive Officer to support the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement) on strategic international work. This role combines executive assistance with strategic engagement, attending meetings, drafting reports, and representing the PVC in various capacities both locally and internationally. Your work will directly impact the delivery of the University strategy.
Responsibilities
* Attending internal and external meetings, conferences and events
* Drafting reports, presentations, and communications
* Acting as a delegate for the PVC
* Supporting implementation of the university’s international strategy
* Liaising with strategic partners, sponsors and diverse stakeholders
* Managing the PVC’s inbox and responding on his behalf
This is an exciting time to join the Vice-Chancellor’s Office as the Senior Management Team focuses on delivery of the University Strategy. The role is evolving, so the post-holder should have a flexible approach, be proactive in helping to manage the PVC-GE’s workload, and use initiative, sound judgment and creativity. It is a stretching and varied post with opportunities to grow for an ambitious, capable and self-motivated individual.
Some travel within the UK and internationally will be required. You’ll benefit from a hybrid working pattern with flexibility for in-person meetings as needed. The role may require flexibility on working hours during travel or for online meetings across international time zones.
