Personality As Production Manager, you will take ownership of the entire production process, ensuring that all activities and operations run smoothly and efficiently. Our client is looking for a proactive leader who inspires, motivates, and empowers their team to consistently achieve targets and objectives. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, a strategic thinker and problem solver, with the ability to plan, organise, and optimise operations while driving continuous improvement and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance. Charity events, match funding and volunteering opportunities An extensive EAP suite to support health and financial wellbeing Retail discounts and savings Job Role: Responsible for the Production department, leading a team of production staff and a shift supervisor, while playing a key role within the leadership team Leading by example, promoting strong values, behaviors, and work ethics Motivating, supervising, and supporting teams to meet performance, quality, and safety standards Communicating clearly to keep teams informed, engaged, and aligned with business goals. Conducting regular 1:1 reviews, identifying training needs, and encouraging multi-skilling and job rotation Planning weekly departmental meetings, ensuring priorities are clear and progress is tracked Managing resources (people, stock, and equipment) to achieve production targets and meet customer demand. Monitoring production processes, adjusting schedules as needed, and minimising downtime in collaboration with other departments Maintaining stock levels, planning raw material deliveries, and supporting production scheduling Setting and monitoring productivity and quality standards, implementing quality control and continuous improvement programmes Championing health, safety, and environmental compliance, embedding a safety-first culture across teams Preparing production reports, tracking KPIs, and analysing data to identify areas for improvement Promoting teamwork, flexibility, and a positive, high-energy working environment. Driving efficiency through adopting best practices, 5S standards, and operational excellence initiatives. Working cross-functionally with suppliers, managers, and other departments to achieve business objectives. Supporting and implementing the wider business strategy, ensuring customers remain at the heart of operations Skills and experience: Previous experience in Production Management role Significant plant management/industry/operations experience Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent leadership and project management skills Experience with Lean manufacturing, process flow and continuous improvement tools and methodology Knowledge of fire safety regulations, Management systems and ERP solutions IT skills, specifically the use of MS Office, bespoke systems and reporting Ability to effectively plan and organise First Aid certificate Experience in implementing and monitoring 5S initiatives Please Note: We do not contact or write to unsuccessful candidates.
