Established in 1993, Lewis & Wood have become a leading name in the fabric and wallpaper industry, designing and manufacturing world class products in-house at our Mill situated in the Cotswolds.
We are looking for a talented and self-motivated Communications Manager to join our team part-time (30 hours per week). You will work closely with the Creative Director and play a vital role in shaping the brand voice of the company. Each piece of writing you create will be recognised as a message from Lewis & Wood - whether that be a page in a brochure or an Instagram caption.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a creative setting, has a natural talent for storytelling, and can balance strategic insight with hands-on execution. This is a fresh position for the company so allows opportunity for growth and progression as the company evolves. It’s a role that you can make your own.
Responsibilities
Content Creation & Copywriting
Write clear and engaging website content in line with our brand voice
Produce regular newsletters to excite our customers
Social Media Management
Plan, caption, and schedule content for Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
Engage with followers and respond to comments and messages in a personable way
Keep up to date with tagged customer images
Track performance and adapt content strategies based on insights
Press & External Communications
Draft and distribute press releases
Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts
Respond to press enquiries and identify relevant PR opportunities
Brand Voice & Strategy
Help mould and maintain a consistent tone across all communications
Actively engage with our audience across all platforms
Build authentic relationships with customers and followers
What We’re Looking For
Experience in a communications or content role, ideally within the creative industries
Exceptional writing skills, with a strong grasp of tone of voice
Experience managing and growing social media platforms, including content planning
Confident in liaising with the press and creating media materials
Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working independently, but also willing to work with other teams within the company
30 hours per week across 4 or 5 working days, flexible
Full-time in the head office based in Stroud during a 3-month probation period
Hybrid working offered after probation (1 day from home per week)
Salary & Benefits
Between £36,000 and £45,000 (pro-rata) based on experience

Stage 4 – In-person interview at either the Gloucestershire Mill, or London Showroom
