About the Role
Manage and protect the quality of our learning spaces as a Group Housekeeping Manager. You will oversee cleaning and housekeeping duties at our College campuses across East Kent, manage cleaning schedules, ensure staff training, line‑manage cleaning supervisors, monitor sickness and absences, travel between campuses, and work flexibly to provide full cover throughout the year.
Role One Broadstairs, Margate Digital, Dover, Folkestone and Ashford
Working Hours: 07:00 – 15:30 (Mon‑Thu) and 07:00 – 15:00 (Fri). You may need 1–2 early mornings or evenings per week for meetings with teams.
Role Two Canterbury and Sheppey
Working Hours: 13:00 – 21:30 (Mon‑Thu) and 08:30 – 16:30 (Fri). Occasional Sunday evenings or early weekday mornings and travel to Sheppey may be required.
About You
You will be a proactive, highly organised leader with a passion for delivering exceptional housekeeping and soft services standards across multiple sites. You will thrive in a fast‑paced environment and inspire teams to deliver their best.
You will bring:
* Significant experience in housekeeping, cleaning or soft services management within a large or multi‑site environment
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop and lead high‑performing teams
* Experience creating and managing effective cleaning schedules and service standards
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and perform under pressure
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building positive relationships across teams
* Knowledge of COSHH regulations and industry best practice, ideally supported by a BICSc qualification
* Confidence using MS Office applications, including Outlook and Excel
* Experience managing procurement and achieving value for money without compromising quality
* A track record of driving change, innovation and continuous improvement
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting a positive, safe and inclusive environment for all
You will also hold English and Maths qualifications at Level 2 (GCSE grade 4/C or above or equivalent).
